After that we will make our first animation using a bouncing ball, followed by animating our character. ![]() Then we will cover the basics of our animation process. First we will cover the basics of the interface. This class will focus on animation in 3D for beginners. If you’re feeling confident, try out a walk cycle, or other complicated action! We will walk you through all the tools needed to create any animation. We will be covering a simple jumping and bouncing animation. You will be animating a character in Blender 3D. I’ve linked to a principles of animation course in the resources if you need help. The course will talk through some animation basics, but this course assumes you are aware of animation basics. If you're brand new to Blender or need a refresher, I'd recommend checking out the class in the class resources before getting started. Some familiarity with Blender’s interface will be helpful. No prior knowledge is necessary, but the course will move quickly through Blender’s interface. We will be optimizing workflow for speed and efficiency. This course will cover skills traditionally used in animation, motion design, and video game design. You will be guided through the basics of the interface and the animation process. We will be using Blender 3D, a free open source software to create our character in 3D. Learn to bring your 3D characters to life with animation! In this Skillshare class, you will learn animation basics in Blender 3D and animate a character!
